Senior Community Forum

In brief

Concept:  To bring Senior Citizens together to discuss and identify local matters which affect the wellbeing of Senior Citizens. To approach these matters and work to address at a community level.

Delivery: Open Whiteboard discussion to identify principle matters and subsidiary matters thereafter. A good old fashioned butchers paper brainstorming session and development process.

i. Wednesday 11 August, 2021 - First session to find 5 Senior community principle matters and identify core groups.

ii. Wednesday 25th August, 2021 – Second session to have core group representatives in attendance do discuss idea / outcome feasibility

iii. Wednesday 8th September, 2021 – Third session to conceptualise programs and activities, set action plan.

iv. Wednesday 6th October, 2021 – Action plan progress

v. Wednesday 20th October, 2021 – Presentations and Local Leader update

Outcomes:  To develop programs and activities and implement and to develop advocacy groups and make connections to pitch ideas that improve the overall wellbeing of Senior Citizens in the Fraser Coast, with a focus on Maryborough Electoral District.
