Mingle & Muse is MADCOTA’s newest way to bring our members together — a relaxed, creative, and genuinely enjoyable space where your ideas help shape what comes next.
Think of it as part social catch‑up, part community brainstorm, and part “let’s see what we can dream up together.” No formalities, no pressure — just good company, good conversation, and a chance to influence the programs, activities, and supports that matter most to you.
We’ll spark curiosity with light prompts, playful discussion starters, and a few unexpected twists to get the ideas flowing. Whether you’re full of suggestions or simply want to listen and be part of the moment, your presence adds value.
After the muse‑making, we’ll shift into a friendly catered social time — a chance to unwind, chat, and connect with fellow members.

Rock’N’Roll Dance Party
The Madcota Community Hub is turning up the jukebox and rolling out the dance floor for a feel‑good fundraiser packed with rhythm, nostalgia, and community spirit.
On Sunday, July 12, the hall at 333 Alice Street, Maryborough will come alive with the unmistakable sounds of the Swinging Sixties, performed live by the ever‑popular Mansong.
Doors open at 11:00 AM, giving guests time to settle in before the fun kicks off at 11:30 AM. Your $25 ticket includes a hot dog, a drink, and a raffle ticket—plus a full afternoon of toe‑tapping entertainment. Financial members enjoy 20% off, making it an even sweeter deal.
This colourful celebration isn’t just about great music and good company. All proceeds support two important community initiatives: Mansong and Home Alone Not This Christmas 2026, helping ensure no one in our region feels isolated or unsupported.

Community Singing-Circle
Dementia Friendly Community Singing Program
Mixed group encouraging those living with dementia, carers and general public to come together to sing and socialise.
Group is facilitated by a professional singer/musician who leads participants through a variety of songs on a weekly basis. Suttle exercises are also included that focus on such things as breathing, hand - eye co-ordination, balance, reading, problem solving, following instructions and communicating.
The groups are friendly and a whole lot of fun allowing both individuals and carers to link with others in similar situations
Mayoral Heritage Morning Tea
SENIORS MONTH - SAVE THE DATE
Mayoral Heritage Morning Tea will take place in the setting of the Brolga Theatre. Proudly sponsored by Fraser Coast Regional Council and support by Mansong, Makin’ Whoopee and Harry Simpson the day is sure to impress.

Come and be a part of our magical indoor sing-a-long event, where everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Gather around our artistic impression of a campfire and experience the warmth and camaraderie of a traditional campfire singing circle, all within the comfort of an indoor setting.
Senior Services Expo 2025
The MADCOTA Senior Services Expo 2025 is a dynamic community event designed to connect seniors, carers, and service providers in the Fraser Coast region. Hosted by the MADCOTA Community Hub, it’s categorized as a Trade Show / Consumer Expo under Home & Lifestyle, and it offers a welcoming space to explore resources, support networks, and lifestyle options tailored to older adults.
